Cottage Theatre holds auditions for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [Revised]

Cottage Grove, OR —  Cottage Theatre will hold auditions on Saturday, August 17 for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [Revised] by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield. Auditions will begin at 6:00 pm and no appointment is necessary. Auditions will take place at Cottage Theatre, 700 Village Drive, Cottage Grove. Roles are available for three versatile actors (of any gender) who love to make audiences laugh.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [Revised] is the third show in Cottage Theatre's 2019 season and will be on stage October 11 - 27, 2019. Using a trunkful of ridiculous props and costumes, three daring actors bring the entirety of the Bard's canon to life on stage in a hysterical tour-de-force that will leave audiences in stitches. This zany, side-splitting romp through 37 plays in 97 minutes is directed by Rachel Froom.

Interested actors are requested to prepare a joke and a Shakespeare monologue or sonnet. Auditions will also include improv games and scene readings.

Additional details are available at www.cottagetheatre.org, or by calling Cottage Theatre at 541-942-8001.
