Author Bob Welch to hold book signing April 17 at Cottage Theatre

Cottage Grove, OR — Local author, speaker and award-winning columnist Bob Welch will be at Cottage Theatre Friday, April 17 autographing copies of his latest book, 52 Little Lessons from Les Misérables, before Cottage Theatre's 8 pm performance of Boubil and Schönbergs Tony award-winning musical Les Misérables.

A Eugene native and long-time columnist for the Register-Guard, Welch has twice won the National Society of Newspaper Columnists’ highest award for writing. In his most recent published work, " . . . Welch walks readers through Victor Hugo's masterpiece, extracting dozens of uniquely spiritual reflections from this enduring portrait of poverty, social injustice, mercy, and redemption," according to the book's jacket.

Copies of the book will be available for sale that evening. Tickets are still available for the April 17 performance of Les Misérables, but are not necessary in order to attend the book signing. Doors open at 7 pm. Cottage Theatre is located at 700 Village Drive in Cottage Grove.

Les Misérables runs for fifteen performances at Cottage Theatre from April 10 - May 3, 2015. Tickets are available online at www.cottagetheatre.org, by phone at 541-942-8001, or in person at the Cottage Theatre Box Office. Box Office hours are Wednesday through Friday, 10 am to 2 pm, and one hour before performances.
