Orchestrator: Bruce Coughlin Arrangements and Additional Orchestrations: Stephen Oremus & Alex Lacamoire 9 to 5 is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with their sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot of a boss, Mr. Hart. Violet, Judy, and Doralee live out their wildest fantasies: giving him the boot, taking control of the company, and making real changes to improve the lives of the women in the secretarial pool. The spirited Dolly Parton score features entertaining songs like “Backwoods Barbie,” “Cowgirl’s Revenge,” and the iconic Grammy winning hit “9 to 5.” With relatable characters and energetic dance numbers, 9 to 5 is a joyous ode to female empowerment.
