SUMMER YOUTH PRODUCTIONEach July, during Cottage Grove's annual Bohemia Mining Days Festival, Cottage Theatre produces a family-friendly original production, the likes of which you'll not find on any other stage. The script, written especially for us by a local playwright, features roles for the 25 youth participants of our summer theatre camp.
These young actors (ages 12 through 14), accomplish in two weeks what it takes our average adult cast eight to ten weeks to master: they go from auditions through dress rehearsals to present three public performances of a fully-staged production, complete with music and choreography. You'll leave inspired! Due to staffing issues, we will not be able to offer a Summer Youth Production in 2022. We look forward to reinstating this beloved program in 2023.
