AUDITION
All Cottage Theatre auditions are open to any interested actors. We try to make our auditions as friendly and fun as possible. Previous stage experience, while helpful, is not necessary to audition. Almost all CT productions include actors appearing on our stage for the first time -- maybe this show it will be your turn!

Marat/Sade
Audition Date: Sunday, December 6 at 6:30 pm OR Monday, December 7 at 6:30 pm (come whichever date suits your schedule best) Production Dates: February 5 - 21, 2027 Directed by Tony Rust Roles available (for actors age 16+): 12 lead or featured roles: Male: Marat, Duperret Female: Charlotte Corday, Simonne Evrard Male/Female: Sade, Jacques Roux, Herald, Coulmier, 4 singers Ensemble: 12+ Patients, male or female several nuns (non speaking roles), male or female several nurses (non speaking roles), male or female possibly Coulmier's wife and daughter (non speaking roles) Audition Information: Ages 16+ only. Everyone will have a private reading of a selection of the play (linked) and we will also be cold reading a few scenes together. Additionally, everyone will be asked to sing a verse from Marat We're Poor (sheet music and recording linked) and there will be a group movement audition (so come prepared to move and use the floor.)
