Cottage Theatre appreciates our partners in the local business community, whose support is essential to our success. There are two main ways your business can help to ensure the future of live theatre in our community: sponsor a show or become a program advertiser.
Sponsorship of a Cottage Theatre production is a visible demonstration of your commitment to the cultural and economic development of our community. Choosing to sponsor a show can complement your company's marketing and community involvement strategies and provide a unique opportunity for employee or client entertainment.
We are deeply grateful for the support of our Show Sponsors and are glad to recognize their support in the following ways:
Season Brochure: Your business name and/or logo will be included in our full-color season brochure, which is widely distributed throughout our region all year long. Approximately 3,500 copies will be distributed.
Other print advertising: Your logo will be featured on our show posters and postcards (mailed to our mailing list of households throughout Lane, Douglas, and Benton Counties). Your company’s logo may also be included in paid advertising placed in publications like the Cottage Grove Sentinel, Eugene Weekly, and The Chronicle. Your logo also will be included on the backlit season marquee posters mounted outside our building.
Online and email mentions: Your logo will also be included on our website and social media next to the description of your production, and on a special page highlighting show sponsors. We also include sponsor logos in the body of multiple e-newsletters each year, sent to our list of over 5,000 theatre aficionados.
Play Programs: Your business logo will be included on the front of your play’s program. A complimentary thank you advertisement will also be placed inside the program. Additionally, all sponsors are recognized throughout the year in all program issues, both in our regular donor honor roll and in a special year-long advertisement.
Curtain Speech: You will be thanked publicly for your support before every performance of your sponsored play.
You will receive ten complimentary tickets to your sponsored production to distribute to employees, clients, friends or family.

Give back to the community and benefit your company all at the same time. We are always looking for businesses to support local theatre by advertising in our play programs. Ticket sales cover just 65% of our annual expenses, even when shows sell out. As a non-profit organization, we depend upon the support of program advertisers, show sponsors and individual contributors to help us balance our budget. Your program ad fee helps to subsidize production costs (such as sets and costumes) and allows us to maintain the kind of artistic quality our community has come to expect and enjoy.
How will your business benefit?
Your advertisement will be featured in six play program issues during the year and will be viewed multiple times by a captive audience. By advertising with Cottage Theatre your business will enhance its reputation as a community booster. You will also help strengthen an organization that attracts visitors to Cottage Grove.
Over half of our audience comes from outside of Cottage Grove. At last count, just about 30% reside in Cottage Grove and 60% come from elsewhere in Lane County. The remaining 10% come from beyond our local area.
Annual ad contract prices range from $350 to $1,000, depending upon size and placement.
