Volunteer Policies & Guidelines

Our volunteers are the heart and soul of Cottage Theatre, and we want you to have a wonderful experience participating in our productions. The Cottage Theatre Board has adopted the following policies and guidelines to help ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone. By participating in one of our shows, you are agreeing to adhere to these guidelines. If you have any questions or comments, please let us know.

Background Screening Policy

Outlines the requirements and procedures for volunteer background checks.

Booth Policies

Explains the guidelines for light and sound booth volunteers.

Complimentary Tickets

Explains the rules surrounding complimentary tickets for production volunteers.

Complaint Procedure

Outlines what to do in the case of interpersonal conflicts or other conduct violations.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Defines conflicts of interest and explains the procedures Board members must follow to disclose any conflicts of interest.

Controlled Substances Policy

Outlines the rules surrounding the use of alcohol and other controlled substances on Cottage Theatre property and during theatre rehearsals and events.

Costume Policies

Outlines costume fitting procedures and costume rental guidelines.

Harrassment Policy

Defines and describes harrassment behaviors that will not be tolerated at Cottage Theatre.

Health & Wellness Guidelines

Explains the procedures Cottage Theatre follows to keep our volunteers and patrons safe from communicable diseases.

Space Usage Guidelines

Outlines the intended uses of various portions of our facility.

Whistleblower Policy

Describes the protection offered to anyone who witnesses and reports any unlawful activity on Cottage Theatre premises.

Youth Protection Policy

Explains the procedures in place to ensure a safe and happy experience for minors participating in Cottage Theatre productions or educational programs.
